Ultra Street Fighter IV on Steam

Rollback netplay for Ultra Street Fighter IV

Ember adds rooms with rollback netplay, spectators and training tools to the Steam game. Make a room and send the link, or drop into a public room and play.

Free and open source. Runs on Windows, and on Linux or Steam Deck through Proton.

What Ember adds

Rooms with rollback

Up to four tables play at once while everyone else watches live. Each player chooses their own delay. A match plays at the higher of the two, or a room can let each fighter keep their own. Auto is on by default, checks each new opponent's connection and picks 1 to 3 frames, using 2 before a recommendation is available. Players can choose a manual delay from 0 to 5.

Public rooms

Find players without an invitation. Cards show the host, players and free seats, and Quick join finds an open seat near you. See who is playing

Sets and rotation

Play sets of first to 1 up to first to 10, then Winner stays, Loser stays or Both rotate. The score and win streak sit on the match HUD.

Links that open the game

Copy your room's short link and send it anywhere. Your friend opens it in a browser and Ember joins the room.

Tournaments

Your Ember ID keeps your record. Sites such as BluMint send match links that open the match in Ember, and results are reported for you. Set up tournaments
